Giselle, the Mediterranean house born in Canggu, is coming to Bangkok. Giselle Bangkok opens on 21 December 2026 on the 5th floor of EmQuartier, on Sukhumvit Road, in the space that was once home to Escape. It will be a place to share Mediterranean food over a long dinner and, later in the night, a place for DJs and a party.

This is the first story in the Giselle Bangkok journal, so we will start at the beginning.

A house born in Canggu

Giselle began in Bali, as a Mediterranean restaurant on Jalan Tanah Barak, in the heart of Canggu. Giselle calls itself a house more than a restaurant: a house for friends, strangers, and stories. The kind of place you come to for dinner and leave much later than you planned.

The menu in Canggu is built for sharing, seafood leads, and the dishes are designed to travel across the table. On Friday and Saturday nights, the evening has a second chapter called Club 55. Dinner comes first, then everything changes: the lights drop, the music sharpens, and the room becomes the party.

That shape, a dinner that turns into a night, is what Giselle is bringing to Bangkok.

Where Giselle Bangkok will be

Giselle Bangkok will open on the 5th floor of EmQuartier, 693-695 Sukhumvit Road, in Phrom Phong. The house takes the space that many people in the city will remember as Escape. We mention Escape only to help you picture the address. Giselle Bangkok is a new chapter of Giselle, with its own design and its own way of spending an evening.

Getting there

EmQuartier connects directly to BTS Phrom Phong station, on the Sukhumvit Line, by a skywalk that also reaches Emporium across the road. Step off the train, follow the walkway into the mall, and head up to the 5th floor. Full directions and a map are on our Find us page.

The evening at Giselle Bangkok

First, dinner

The evening at Giselle Bangkok will start at the table, with Mediterranean food, in the spirit of Canggu, where plates arrive in the middle, everyone reaches in, and dinner becomes a long conversation rather than a sequence of courses. The Bangkok menu has not been announced yet.

Then, the night

Later in the night, the house is planning a second mood, with DJs and a party. In Canggu, that moment has its own name and its own ritual. In Bangkok, the plan is the same shape of evening: dinner first, then, later in the night, DJs and a party.

The ambition is easy to say and hard to do: for Giselle Bangkok to become the address on Sukhumvit where people come to eat well and stay late. News about the nights and the music will be shared on Instagram as the opening gets closer.

The room, as the renderings show it

Giselle Bangkok is still being built, so there are no photographs of the room yet. What we can share today are 3D renderings of the design. They are renderings, not photos, and the finished house may differ in its details.

The terrace, at the top of this page, is built around a tree lit up for the evening, with rattan chairs and fringed lamps, and the Bangkok skyline in the background. Inside, the renderings show a dining room under a draped ceiling, a bar, and an open kitchen where the cooking happens in full view of the room.

The renderings share details with Canggu, such as rattan chairs and warm light. Only this time, the city is Bangkok.

What to do now

Giselle Bangkok opens on 21 December 2026 and will be open daily. Opening hours have not been announced yet, and reservations are not open.
